This backyard isn't very secluded and with the city streets being right there, it's impossible to keep the sounds of traffic at bay. The beautiful potted green plants and trees are for aesthetic reasons and not for any sound buffering. If you wanted sound buffering you would need to add a wall or plant many more trees which for some, like this owner, they appreciate the sights and sounds of the city.
